How many pets can I add?

The Free tier supports up to 2 pets. Premium supports up to 5, and Pro up to 50 — dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, fish, reptiles, and other small animals.

How does the AI work in Pet Capsule?

Pet Capsule uses advanced AI to power features like health scanning from photos, symptom checking, food safety analysis, personalized care advice, smart search, and AI art generation — all tailored to your specific pet's breed, age, and health history.

Is my pet's data secure?

Absolutely. Pet Capsule uses encryption for the Vault, supports Face ID and Touch ID biometric protection, includes screen capture protection, and follows a privacy-first approach. Your data is stored securely and never sold to third parties.

Can my family members use Pet Capsule too?

Yes! With the Caregiver feature (available on Premium and above), you can invite family members, dog walkers, and pet sitters with role-based access to your pet's care team.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is securely stored in the cloud with end-to-end encryption for vault documents. Photos and memories sync across your devices. You can export your data at any time.

Is Android supported?

Pet Capsule is launching first on iOS and iPadOS, with Apple Watch support included. An Android version is on our roadmap — join the waitlist and we'll notify you when it's available.

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Pet Capsule ("the App") or visiting petcapsule.app ("the Website"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use our services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Pet Capsule.

2. Description of Service

Pet Capsule is an AI-powered pet care companion app that provides:

Pet health tracking (records, medications, vaccinations, weight)
Care management (tasks, schedules, grooming, walks)
Memory storage (photos, milestones, timelines)
AI-assisted health insights (scans, breed ID, food safety, symptom checking)
Document vault (vet records, insurance, certificates)
Financial tracking (expenses, insurance, budgets)
Community features (social feed, lost pet alerts)
Emergency features (SOS, vet locator, emergency contacts)

The App is available on iOS. The Website provides information, resources, blog content, and interactive pet tools.

3. Veterinary & Medical Disclaimer

IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

Pet Capsule is NOT a substitute for professional veterinary care, diagnosis, or treatment.
AI health scans, breed health alerts, symptom analysis, food safety checks, and all AI-generated health assessments are for informational purposes only.
AI features may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading results. They should never be the sole basis for health decisions about your pet.
If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, contact your veterinarian or emergency animal hospital immediately. Do not rely on this app for emergency medical decisions.
The health information provided by Pet Capsule does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship.
Always consult a qualified veterinarian for your pet's specific health needs, before changing medications, diets, or treatment plans.

4. User Accounts

You may use Pet Capsule with or without signing in with Apple
You must provide accurate information when creating an account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EEA) to use Pet Capsule
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

5.1 Billing Terms

All subscriptions include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price
Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription
You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy

5.2 Free Tier

Core features including pet profiles, health records, care tasks, memories, and basic AI usage remain accessible on the free tier. Free tier users have daily limits on AI features.

6. AI Features & Limitations

Pet Capsule uses Google's Gemini AI to power certain features. By using AI features, you acknowledge and agree that:

AI results are generated by third-party AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate
We provide AI features "as-is" without warranty of accuracy, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose
AI features should be used as a starting point for further research, not as definitive answers
You should not upload sensitive personal information (financial data, government IDs) through AI features
AI-generated content (images, text) may be subject to Google's usage terms
We reserve the right to limit, modify, or discontinue AI features at any time
AI usage is subject to rate limits based on your subscription tier

7. User Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create in Pet Capsule, including photos, health records, memories, notes, and documents.

By using social or sharing features (social posts, pet cards, referral links, lost pet reports), you grant Pet Capsule a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and transmit your shared content as intended by those features
This license ends when you delete the shared content or your account
We do not claim ownership of any user-generated content
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you upload

8. Community & Social Features

Pet Capsule includes social features (community feed, posts, comments, lost pet alerts). By using these features, you agree to:

Post only content that is accurate, appropriate, and relevant to pet care
Not post harmful, offensive, abusive, defamatory, or misleading content
Not harass, bully, or intimidate other users
Not spam, advertise products/services, or post commercial content without authorisation
Not impersonate other users, veterinarians, or animal care professionals
Not post content that violates any applicable law

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

9. Lost Pet Features

Pet Capsule provides lost pet alert features that allow users to share information about missing pets. Important disclaimers:

Location sharing in lost pet reports is voluntary — you choose what location information to include
We do not guarantee that using lost pet features will result in finding your pet
Lost pet reports are visible to other community members — consider your privacy when sharing location details
We are not responsible for the actions of other users who respond to lost pet reports
Always exercise caution when meeting strangers in connection with lost pet recovery

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the service for any unlawful purpose
Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
Reverse engineer, decompile, or exploit the app or its AI features
Abuse the referral program with fake accounts or fraudulent referrals
Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the service
Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
Circumvent rate limits or usage restrictions

11. Intellectual Property

Pet Capsule, its logo, design, branding, website content, blog articles, breed guides, and interactive tools are owned by Pet Capsule or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our intellectual property without written permission.

The blog articles, breed guides, and resource content on our Website are provided for personal, non-commercial use. You may share links to our content but may not republish or reproduce it without permission.

12. Third-Party Integrations

Pet Capsule integrates with several third-party services. Your use of these integrations is also subject to those services' terms:

Apple (Sign In, CloudKit, StoreKit, Maps): Subject to Apple's Terms
Google (Gemini AI, Places, Maps, Environment APIs): Subject to Google's Terms
Supabase: Server infrastructure — subject to Supabase's Terms

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of third-party services.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

Pet Capsule is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
We disclaim all warranties including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app
This includes, without limitation, damages related to pet health decisions made based on AI features, loss of data, or service interruptions
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you have paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim

Australian Consumer Law: Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pet Capsule, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

Your use of the App or Website
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any third-party rights
Content you create, upload, or share through the service

15. Account Deletion & Termination

You may stop using Pet Capsule at any time by deleting the app. You may also delete your account and all associated server-side data from the App's settings or by contacting privacy@petcapsule.app.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately, but these Terms continue to apply to any prior use.

16. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, government actions, power failures, internet or telecommunications failures, or third-party service outages.

17. Data Protection

Your use of Pet Capsule is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using Pet Capsule, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

18. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or Pet Capsule shall be resolved as follows:

Good-faith negotiation: The parties shall first attempt to resolve any dispute through informal negotiation for a period of 30 days
Mediation: If negotiation fails, the parties agree to attempt resolution through mediation administered by the Resolution Institute (Australia)
Courts: If mediation fails, disputes shall be resolved by the courts of Victoria, Australia

For users in the European Economic Area: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws, including your right to bring claims in your country of residence.

For Australian consumers: These Terms do not exclude, restrict, or modify any consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pet Capsule regarding your use of the service. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings.

21. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For significant changes, we will provide notice via email (for account holders) or a prominent notice on the Website at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Pet Capsule after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
