True lilies (Easter lily, Tiger lily, Asiatic lily, Daylily) are the #1 plant-related cause of cat deaths. Even tiny amounts — a few grains of pollen licked off fur, one petal, or water from the vase — can cause fatal kidney failure within 24-72 hours.

Symptoms to Watch For

  • Vomiting
  • Loss of appetite
  • Lethargy
  • Kidney failure
  • Death within 3-7 days without treatment
