Can Dogs Eat Corn?
Plain corn kernels are safe but corn cobs are a choking hazard.
Details
Plain cooked corn kernels are safe for dogs and a common ingredient in commercial dog food. However, corn on the cob is extremely dangerous — dogs can swallow large pieces of cob that cause intestinal blockage requiring emergency surgery. This is one of the most common causes of intestinal obstruction in dogs. Always remove kernels from the cob before feeding.
