Canned plain pumpkin (NOT pumpkin pie filling) is a veterinarian-recommended food for dogs. It is rich in fiber and helps with both diarrhea and constipation. It also contains vitamins A, C, and E, plus iron and potassium. Start with 1-2 tablespoons mixed into food. Pumpkin seeds are also safe when plain and ground.
