Sweet potatoes are packed with dietary fiber, vitamins A, B6, and C, and minerals. They should always be cooked (baked, boiled, or steamed) and served plain — never raw, as raw sweet potato is difficult to digest. Remove the skin and cut into bite-sized pieces. Dehydrated sweet potato slices make excellent chew treats.
